Texas Children Need Your Help!

Texas Children Need Your Help!

Welcome to Trinity Kids!

Trinity Kids touches the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned children of North Central Texas by providing FREE activities that are designed to provide fun, safe and positive memories.

Every summer, children ages 7-11 attend a week-long residence (overnight) camp for FREE and several times each year teenagers enjoy FREE one & two day events with caring adults. Local social service organizations and their appointed foster families refer children to Trinity Kids for each event.

Our volunteers demonstrate Christian love and care, modeling non-violent, positive ways of life as an alternative to the negative and hurtful experiences of abused children. We have included lots of information about our programs and child abuse in general in this website. Please feel free to peruse the site.

Thank you for stopping by.

Kilometers 4 Kids Update...

Another cool walk around Veteran's Park. A dozen walkers raised enough funds to send 10 children to camp in July. Thanks to all who walked and an special thank you to new walker like Gretchen, Leslie and Dennis. This was the easiest fundraiser we have had, we just need more walkers and sponsors. Watch for 2011 Kilometers 4 Kids in April 2011.

ConnecTeen Update...

(May 2010) Note to Jerry Jones...we came, we saw, they loved it. Twenty ConnectTeens joined us to tour the new Dallas Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, eat pizza and enjoy ice cream. Tony Roma watch out we have a couple of players on your heels. Everyone got to experience the "on the field" excitement, looking up at 80,000 seats. Wow, what a feeling. Then they visited the Cowboys' locker room and the cheerleaders locker room, too. What a thrill for both the guys and the gals. It was especially exciting to see ConnecTeens in college driving themselves to see us. Thanks to Shirley, Mike, Jenny, Stacy, Ryan and Jill for joining us and hanging out.

Good Bye to a Good Friend! After 13 years at the same camp facility (Buffalo Ridge Ranch / Iron Springs Christian Camp) we will be looking for a new facility for 2011. The economy has taken its toll and the new owner has different plans. We have lots of good memories and a few that we'd like to forget.

RFKC 2010 was lots of fun for the campers and lots of challenges for the staff and several guides. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Karol, David, Jill, Ryan and Melody. Sixty kids and Sixty-Six volunteers made through the most unusual week in history.

Thanks to all for being flexible.

Mike and Alice
