Texas Children Need Your Help!

Texas Children Need Your Help!

Welcome to Trinity  Kids!

Trinity Kids touches the lives of abused, neglected and abandoned children of North Central Texas by providing FREE activities that are designed to provide fun, safe and positive memories.

Every summer, children ages 7-11 attend a week-long residence (overnight) camp for FREE and several times each year teenagers enjoy FREE one & two day events with caring adults. Local social service organizations and their appointed foster families refer children to Trinity Kids for each event.

Our volunteers demonstrate Christian love and care, modeling non-violent, positive ways of life as an alternative to the negative and hurtful experiences of abused children. We have included lots of information about our programs and child abuse in general in this website. Please feel free to peruse the site.

Thank you for stopping by.

Golf Tournament Update...
Minimize

Rain, Rain, Go Away...was the wish on September 14 so the second annual Links Fore Kids Golf Tournament could take place. The day was wet, drizzly and some times rainy but 70 golfers hit the tees. Thanks to sponsors like E6 Sportswear, Luxor Staffing, North Texas Catering, Smiles by Glaser (Trent Glaser DDS) & Sun & Ski Sports we were able to pull off another successful tournament. Thanks to Gary Peek, Trent Glaser, Sheila Freeman, Jake Hill, Greg Werner and Anne Zimmerman for serving on the tournament committee.

A cool start but a strong finish. 2 Laps around the park and you're done. The cool weather made this walk very enjoyable even for someone that "needs" the exercise. About a dozen walkers joined us at Veterans' Park in Arlington (if you haven't seen the new memorial you should check it out) for the Third Annual event. This year the walkers raised enough money to provide 14 scholarships for the Royal Family Kids' Camp.

ConnecTeen Update...

Some say Dallas is a zoo while others say it is a jungle. Mix them together and you get the Dallas World Aquarium. On April 25, twenty-one ConnecTeen-agers joined us for the day at the DWA, CiCi's pizza and a sweet dessert at the new Braum's in Pantego. Lunch time with the sharks was cool! Check out the pictures on the ConnecTeen page.

WOW! & WOW! (Yes, two times!)

This year Trinity Kids representatives visited 10 different Federal Government Offices during the annual Combined Federal Campaign (Charity Campaign). A special thanks to Alice, Arvie and a few others that were able to trek all over the Metroplex, from the top floors of buildings to several floors under ground (shh, it's a secret) to speak on behalf of Trinity Kids. This was our first year to participate and we look forward to seeing the results in early 2010.

If you missed the Christmas Party you missed a great time! Thank you Fielder Road Baptist Church for allowing us to use the tricked out Third floor. The kids enjoyed video games, air hockey, foosball and pool plus they got to decorate gingerbread men, create Christmas crafts and listen as Mimi read a Christmas Story. There was Pizza and Ice cream, too. Thanks to all of the volunteers for helping and spending time with the kids.

Another year of many blessings!
